—— 01 — BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION
Giving your dog the help they need
Anxiety. Reactivity. Aggression. These are the cases I care about most, and they’re the ones I’ve built my practice around.
Behavior work is slower and more careful than obedience, because we’re not teaching a trick — we’re changing how your dog feels about something. We identify the trigger, find the threshold where your dog can still think, and work from there. No flooding, no shortcuts, no asking a scared dog to “just get over it.”
✔ Leash reactivity toward dogs, people, bikes, cars
✔ Separation anxiety and crate distress
✔ Fear, shutdown, and low-confidence rescue dogs
✔ Resource guarding & food aggression
✔ Stranger and visitor aggression
✔ Multi-dog household conflict

What’s included
✔ Free intake consult & behavior history
✔ Written plan with staged goals
✔ Between-session homework you can actually do
✔ Ongoing check-ins as your dog progresses

Sometimes it’s the routine
Not every problem needs more obedience work. Sometimes the fix is a change to the household routine — when your dog eats, walks, rests, or gets attention. Part of every plan is figuring out which one your dog actually needs.
Then I coach you through it, so you and your dog stay on the right path long after our sessions end.
—— 02 — OBEDIENCE TRAINING
A happy pup is a structured pup
Structure isn’t strictness. It’s the thing that lets a dog relax, because they finally know what’s expected of them.
We work one-on-one on the foundation skills that make daily life easier — then proof them in the places that actually matter, like the front door, the sidewalk, and the vet’s waiting room.
✔ Sit, down, stay, place & duration work
✔ Reliable recall
✔ Loose-leash walking & heel
✔ Impulse control and “leave it”
✔ Puppy foundations & socialization done right
✔ Real-world proofing with distractions
—— 03 — IN-HOME TRAINING
Train from the comfort of your own home
Your dog behaves differently at home than anywhere else. That’s exactly why home is where we should work.
I come to you, in the environment where the behavior actually happens, with the people who actually live there. Everyone in the household learns the same cues and the same rules — which is the fastest way to make training stick.
✔ Door manners & greeting guests
✔ Jumping, counter surfing, and stealing
✔ Crate training and settling on place
✔ House-training and routine building
✔ Household rules everyone can follow
✔ Serving Austin and the surrounding areas

—— GOOD TO KNOW
Common questions
HOW MUCH DOES TRAINING COST?
Every plan is custom, so pricing depends on what your dog needs and how many sessions we schedule. The consult is free and there’s no obligation — reach out and I’ll give you a straight answer for your situation.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
Obedience foundations often come together in a handful of sessions. Behavior modification — real anxiety, reactivity, or aggression work — takes longer, because we’re changing an emotional response, not teaching a cue. I’d rather set an honest timeline than a flattering one.
IS MY DOG TOO OLD? TOO FAR GONE?
No. I’ve worked with foster and rescue dogs with rough histories for years. Older dogs learn just fine, and “difficult” dogs are usually just dogs whose signals nobody has read yet.
DO I NEED TO BE THERE FOR SESSIONS?
Yes, and that’s the point. You’re the one who lives with your dog. My job is to teach you both, then hand the leash back.
WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVE?
Austin and the surrounding areas. If you’re not sure whether you’re in range, just ask — call 512-317-8516 or send a note through the contact form.
