DOG TRAINING

—— NICE TO MEET YOU
About Audie
Certified trainer, foster dog advocate, and a firm believer that every dog is telling you something.

—— THE SHORT VERSION
Hi, I’m Audie — founder & trainer
I’m a certified trainer out of the renowned Starmark Academy, and I’ve spent the last ten years working with dogs and their people, all over the Austin area.
A lot of that time has been with foster dogs — dogs who came in shut down, or scared, or labeled as “too much.” That work shaped everything about how I train. It taught me that behavior is communication, that patience beats pressure, and that the dog in front of you almost never needs what the internet says they need.
I started Tails of Success because I wanted training that treated each dog like an individual with a history, not a problem to be corrected.

—— TRAINING PHILOSOPHY
Find the root, not the symptom
“Training is all about creating a positive and engaging experience for your pup. We focus on finding the root of the issue instead of simply treating only the symptoms.”
Anyone can suppress a behavior. Suppressing a growl doesn’t make a dog feel safer — it just removes the warning. I’d rather do the slower work of changing how your dog feels, so the behavior doesn’t need to be there anymore.

LOOSE-LEASH WORK ON THE TRAIL — WHERE IT ACTUALLY COUNTS.
—— WHAT I BRING
Credentials & experience

Starmark Academy Certified
Formal professional training from one of the most respected canine training academies in the country — covering learning theory, behavior science, and hands-on handling.

Foster & Rescue Experience
Years of hands-on work with foster dogs, including dogs with anxiety, aggression, and difficult histories. This is where I learned to read the quiet signals.

10 Years of Experience
A decade of professional obedience and behavior work, including with Austin-area families since before Tails of Success opened its doors in 2021 — in homes, in neighborhoods, and in the real-world places dogs actually struggle.
“All that is gold does not glitter,
not all those who wander are lost.”
— J.R.R. TOLKIEN
It’s on the wall for a reason. The dogs everyone else has given up on are usually the ones with the best story still ahead of them.
